About the Opportunity

Job Nexus India is hiring Equity Research Analyst Interns for Karanwal Capital, a systematic investment firm and family office managing over $25M+ in proprietary assets.

This internship is a high-impact, research-intensive program designed for candidates who want real exposure to equity research, valuation, and investment decision-making. Interns contribute directly to research used for capital allocation.

Role Overview

The Equity Research Analyst Intern will work closely with senior analysts to evaluate publicly listed companies using fundamental analysis and valuation methodologies. The role emphasizes financial modeling, sector research, and investment thesis development.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and audit integrated 3-statement financial models and DCF valuations
• Conduct bottom-up company analysis, focusing on business models, revenue drivers, cost structures, and management commentary
• Perform top-down sector analysis to assess industry trends, risks, and growth drivers
• Analyze quarterly earnings, financial disclosures, and conference call transcripts
• Update internal investment theses, assumptions, and price targets
• Prepare concise investment memorandums for internal investment committee review

Eligibility & Requirements

Education:

• MBA (Finance), CA, CFA (Level 1 or above), or
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related fields

Technical Skills:

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (financial modeling, valuation, analysis)
• Strong understanding of corporate finance, accounting, and financial statements
• Familiarity with valuation techniques including DCF and relative valuation
